Basic Characters
Basic characters are great puppets. They have loads of personality and look great. Basic characters can be made in any of the colors listed on the Currently Available Colors. They can all also have legs added to them, with either a standard foot or the frog foot. They also can wear shirts, which I have available. They wear size NB or 0-3m baby shirts.
Basic Characters are currently my lowest priced characters. I sell a basic character for $50. Accessories are additional but are discounted with the purchase of a puppet. Adding legs to a Basic Character will cost $20 and you can choose which style of foot you want.

Dart
He spends most of his time playing solitaire and writing in his journal. When he's not doing that, he likes to watch the animals in the zoo. He longs to be like them and to interact with others, especially people, but he can't.
See, Dart is a poisonous frog. If anyone touches him they might get sick. So Dart stays in his log, doing things by himself...forever lonely.
-------
Dart is a great character that comes with everything you see in the photo. His eyes are yellow in color and have a colored element that ties them into his skin color. If you order a Dart in any other color than yellow, his eyes will still be yellow...but the colored element will tie those colors together.

Paddy
This is Paddy. His real name is Lloyd, but his favorite food is lily pads and he spends most of his time looking for them, so his friends started calling him Paddy and it just kind of stuck.
Paddy is like a frog...but...different. His parents tell him that they're all different because of the green goo that leaked into the pond from the factory for a while. It's since been cleaned up, and they are all healthy, but they look a little bit odd.
Paddy likes to swim and juggle...but he's not very good at juggling. His favorite hobby, however, is collecting pennies. Here's the thing...Paddy thinks ALL coins are pennies. In fact, he thinks that any small circular metal object is a penny. His favorite "penny" is actually an old Coca Cola bottle cap.

Paddy is another great character. Paddy was the first puppet that I completed, other than my very first attempt, which wasn't so great. In fact, the pictures on this site of Paddy are all of the very first puppet that I finished completely with body and arms and everything. Paddy comes with no shirt, but a shirt can be added if you would like. His skin and eyes are the same color, and he comes with really cool reptile looking eye pupils.

Blip
Blip is an alien. He came here on a mission of exploration, but his ship crashed and now he's stuck. He's constantly trying to find the parts necessary to fix his ship, but he never seems to have any luck.
Anyways, back to Blip's mission. Blip's planet is running out of food so he was sent to try and find the food that his people need to be able to continue to survive. What food is that??
Oddly enough, Blip's people eat nothing but...Gummy Worms. That's right, that sugary candy treat that some of us humans have every now and then is what Blip's people eat on a daily basis...for all six of their meals.
-------
Blip comes as shown. Blip's hands are different than the other character's because they have two very long fingers instead of four normal fingers. They fit with the "bug" look that Blip has going on. Blip's eyes are really unique and give him a look that's very different than the other "frog-like" characters that I sell.
Basic PLUS Characters
Basic PLUS Characters are more great characters. They have the same great characteristics of a Basic Character but come with some added bonuses. All of the Basic PLUS Characters come with some accessories, maybe be a bit larger, or are made out of a special kind of fabric. The accessories would be character specific clothing, jewelry, glasses, or things like that. The special fabric would typically be faux fur or something similar. The larger size could be anything from the size of the puppet's head to the entire body.
Basic PLUS Characters start at $65 and come with the accessories shown in the photos. Other accessories are available for discounted prices and any additional parts can be added to the Basic PLUS Characters such as legs. Typically, the Basic PLUS Characters would only be available in the colors that they are shown in, unless specifically noted in the character description.
Vlad
Vlad is a little vampire with a big heart. Vlad is a young vampire. He has a problem, though. He's hemophobic. That means he's scared of blood...the sight of it, the thought of it, everything about it just really creeps him out. Because of this, Vlad isn't very accepted by most of his kind. He still likes to dress up like a classical vampire, but he simply can't bring himself to have anything to do with blood. Because of this, he's had to really alter his diet. He eats a lot of hamburgers and rare steaks. He also works out a lot to offset all the calories he's taking in with his diet. He likes to bicycle and play football.
Speaking of football...Vlad works for ESPN. He's a cameraman for the night time college football games. He once tried to work a day game, but even with SPF 90 sunscreen on he still got a bit burned...so he's content to just work the night games. He loves his job...it's the perfect job for a vampire that loves football!!!
-------
Vlad is a great character that comes exactly as shown. The things that make Vlad a PLUS Character are included with your purchase and include the robe/shirt that he is wearing, the detailed slicked back vampire hair, and the tiny little fangs that fit perfectly inside his mouth so that they show when his mouth is open and disappear when his mouth is closed. Please note, if you order Vlad and choose to add legs, his legs can be made the color of his shirt or the color of his body. If you choose the color of his shirt, the legs will be made out of the same material as his shirt so it will look like he has a suit on. He will also be given instead of "feet" some "shoes" that will fit with his character. If you choose the color of his body for legs, you can add "pants" to those legs for an extra fee. Legs for Vlad will cost $20 for either style. Contact me for more information at PuppetsByJeff@gmail.com.
Yeti, Junior
Here is Yeti, Jr. Here's what Wikipedia has to say about yetis in general:
"The Yeti or Abominable Snowman is an ape-like cryptid said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet. The names Yeti and Meh-Teh are commonly used by the people indigenous to the region, and are part of their history and mythology. Stories of the Yeti first emerged as a facet of Western popular culture in the 19th century.
The scientific community generally regards the Yeti as a legend, given the lack of conclusive evidence, yet it remains one of the most famous creatures of cryptozoology. The Yeti may be considered a sort of parallel to the Bigfoot of North America."
Well, Yeti, Jr might have something to say about that whole "Yeti as a legend" part. He doesn't take too kindly to people not believing he exists, especially when he's sitting down right now studying for a calculus test.
You might be wondering, why is YJ not white?? Well, not many people know this, but Yetis are born a darker color, and as they get older their fur starts to turn to the more white like color that most people think of when they think of a Yeti. Yeti is currently 22 years old, but that's still really young by Yeti standards. He won't start to turn colors for another three or four years.
Yeti currently attends Central Michigan University where he is studying for a degree in psychology. He is in his 3rd year as an exchange student, and he currently heads up the NTSO at Central...that's the Nepal-Tibet Student Organization.
-------
Yeti, Junior is an absolutely fantastic character. He is made primarily of a dark colored faux fur that has some lighter strands in it that give him a depth that is unmatched. His arms are made of faux fur with a dark fleece on the underside to give more depth to his hands and fingers, and to break up the overall color of the character. The arms look great and give some great contrast to the rest of the character. Yeti's fur is so realistic that it would be easy to mistake him for a real creature.
The things that make Yeti, Junior a Basic PLUS Character are the high quality faux fur and the distinct eyes on top of his head. Yeti, Jr can be ordered with legs which will cost an extra $25 for this character. The higher cost for legs is due to the faux fur. Adding legs to Yeti, Junior will complete an EXCELLENT full body puppet that you can easily bring to life and entertain anyone around you. Yeti, Junior's legs will be made of faux fur with the bottom of the feet made out of the same material as the insides of his arms.
For more information or to order your very own Yeti, Jr, send me an e-mail at PuppetsByJeff@gmail.com.
McGarrett
McGarrett is a dog. He is no more, but no less. He's just a dog.
But what is a dog?? A dog is an animal that is loyal to the end, loves you no matter what, and lives every day of his life to just be with his master and his family.
That's exactly what McGarrett is. He's a dog that loves to be with his family. He's a bit goofy and tends to be clumsy, but he's full of love and life. He loves to eat...dog food, cat food, bird food, people food...if it's edible, there's a good chance that McGarrett likes to eat it. Sometimes, even when things aren't edible, there's a good chance that McGarrett likes to eat them...things like slippers, pillows, and the dining room table.
When McGarrett isn't eating, he likes to play catch. His favorite thing to catch is a Frisbee. He's not very good at catching them, though. They tend to hit him in the head and fall to the ground, where he then picks them up and brings them back. He's much better at catching sponge balls, but he doesn't like that as much...it must not be quite as challenging.
McGarrett is a great dog who can be quite mischievous at times, but, what dog isn't mischievous at times???
-------
McGarrett is an absolutely great puppet. He's made out of a high quality faux fur that looks an awful lot like dalmatian fur. A quick note, the pictures of McGarrett are of of him with a fur that I CAN NO LONGER GET. I have found a suitable substitute, which actually looks a bit better. As soon as I can get pictures of a McGarrett made out of the new material, I will upload them. The new material is slightly longer, but other than that the looks are nearly identical.
Now, let's get into the details of McGarrett. He is the first puppet offered by Puppets by Jeff to feature ears. And his ears aren't just up there, they can actually be posed. So if you need McGarrett to look angry, you can move the ears to reflect that. If you need him to look surprised, you can arrange them to look like that. Alternately, you can just arrange them to look goofy and reflect his personality. His ears have high quality pink felt on one side and the same fur that his body is made out of on the other side so that they look more realistic.
McGarrett also has a black nose, which is a bit difficult to discern in the photo. The spot right on the front of his snout isn't a spot, but instead about a 1 inch round fur ball that serves perfectly as his nose. McGarrett uses the same style of eyes as Yeti, Jr and Yeti, Sr, however, they don't have fur on them. Once I put them on I felt that they needed nothing else and fit the character perfectly.
McGarrett's body is a bit different than the other puppets. He doesn't come with the foam insert in his body and his arms aren't stuffed. I did this because it makes him look great when you're moving your arm about...he kind of flails like a dog that's a bit on the wild side. However, if you would like, I can add the foam body and stuff the arms at no cost.
Last, the options for McGarrett are listed here. You can add legs to him for a cost of $25, and you can add a collar to him for $5. The collar fits around his "neck" and is an actual dog collar, so you could add tags that you have engraved with your character's name on it if you liked.
Mogul
Mogul comes from another planet...actually, he comes from Ganymede, one of the large moons around Jupiter. I don't know how he got here. He claims to have been brought by another group of aliens and left here to spy on us. He's not a very good spy, though. I caught him trying to eat a stick in the tree in my backyard one day. I don't know why he was trying to eat sticks. He actually is like our very own monkeys here on earth in that he really likes bananas. Because of this, I kind of think of him as a space monkey. Bananas and popcorn are his two favorite foods. He would do just about anything for them.
Mogul enjoys climbing, as do most other monkeys. He has a pretty serious problem. You know the saying "What goes up must come down?" That's not necessarily the case with Mogul. He has a tendency to climb so high into a tree that he can't get down. I'm constantly having to get my 30 foot extension ladder out to climb up into a tree and retrieve him. I feel bad punishing him for it, though, because he gets so scared when he's stuck up there. He just shakes and shivers until we're all the way back down on the ground. I keep hoping that one day he'll be able to get down on his own, but I'm not holding my breath.
-------
Mogul is an absolutely fantastic puppet. He's full of all kinds of personality. Just look at those eyes and that fur!!! His fur is similar to Yeti, Jr, but obviously a different color. His body is basically just like Dart or Paddy, so if you have one of those puppets you'll have a firm grasp on how to control and use Mogul. His arms are attached with doll joints. His eyes are just like Paddy's, but covered in that awesome fur so it looks like they are actually part of his head, instead of just attached to the head. Now for the coolest part...
...Mogul's body is patchworked together. Basically, he's a standard fleece body attached to the all fur head. On top of that fleece, however, I have attached a ton of small cut pieces of the fur to make it so his entire body is covered in fur. Why is it done this way?? Easy. The fur is actually striped purple and black, but I didn't want his body striped. By patchworking it together, I was able to make it look as though the body is just black and purple in random different spots. I also was able to attach pieces with the nap of the fur going in different directions, which allows for the extra messy looking fur that looks so perfect on him.
Mogul is being listed as a Basic PLUS character, but he will come in at a price of $75 due to the time consuming work of cutting and attaching all the pieces of fur. But trust me, he's worth every penny. Mogul can also have legs added to him for an additional $25.
Advanced Characters
Advanced Characters are more great characters from Puppets by Jeff. Advanced Characters will all be puppets that have some characteristic that is unique to them. Advanced Characters will generally be different than the other styles of puppets that I sell. Where the other types of puppets all look fairly similar, the Advanced Characters may look very different from some of the other styles of puppets. Of course, that is not necessarily the case for all of them, because there may be some that look similar but have some very expensive materials or some very advanced features, such as blinking eyes. For example, I am working on a Yeti, Jr puppet that will have moving eye lids that blink. That puppet would then be listed as an Advanced Character.
Advanced Characters will start at $85 and go from there. Some of them will work with accessories that I sell on the site, some of them will not. Any of the puppets that will not work the accessories I sell have that mentioned in the puppet's description. Advanced Characters may be available in other colors as well, which will also be noted in the description of the character. Legs are another thing that may be available, and if so will be noted in the description.
Yeti, Sr
Yeti, Sr lives in the mountains in Nepal. He runs a small mountain climbing business. He teaches people the basics of climbing, sells gear, and leads tours and expeditions to the mountains that he has grown to know so well over these last 127 years.
Yeti, Sr enjoys climbing, but he also enjoys playing golf. Unfortunately, there aren't an awful lot of golf courses near his home, so he has built a puttin green and practices putting and chipping in his back yard. He's gotten pretty good at it, and often time thinks about moving to a warmer climate (like Hawai'i) and starting to work for a golf course. He's not sure how well he would do in the heat and sun though, considering he's so used to the cold and snow.
Yeti, Sr is currently showing off his summer coat. Normally in the winter his coat gets a little bit lighter than it is now, but in the summer when the snow line goes up a bit higher, his coat gets a bit more tan so that he blends into his surroundings better.
Yeti, Sr is very proud of his son and he chats with him everyday on the computer. Junior bought him a webcam for Christmas, but Senior is a bit old fashioned and can't quite figure out how to hook it up. Next time Junior comes home from school, he's going to hook it up for him so that they can video chat while Junior is away at the campus.
-------
Yeti, Sr is an astounding character who comes in at the $85 price point. I am not going to beat around the bush, he is my favorite character that I have created. He is a "Live Arm" puppet which means that you operate his head and mouth with one of your hands, and your other hand actually goes inside of his hand. That gives you total control over that arm of your puppet. You can catch, throw, grab, and point with the puppets own hand.
Yeti, Sr's live arm allows him to do things that other puppets can't do. If you need a character in your show that can actually use his hands, and arm rods just won't do, then Yeti, Sr is the character for you.
Yeti, Sr is made out of high quality faux fur. The length is about 1.5 inches or so, and it looks great all over his body. Yeti's body is soft and he does not have a foam skeleton in his body. His head, however, has a great quality foam skull with foam hand straps that allow you to have great control over his mouth. Yeti has four fingers on each hand. I generally put my ring finger and my pinky finger into the same finger, but you could put different fingers together if you would like.
Honestly, the best way to describe Yeti, Sr is to watch this video:
Yeti, Sr comes in the tan color shown, and is currently unavailable in other colors. However, if you are interested in him in a certain color, contact me at PuppetsByJeff@gmail.com and I will see if I can acquire the color that you would like. Yeti, Sr also can not use some of the accessories that I sell. Arm rods, obviously, will do him no good. He also does not fit into the shirts that I sell. He can, however, use the stands that I sell. Yeti, Sr does have one option. His body can be made longer, so if you need to be able to show more of his body and arms over the top of your stage, that can be accomodated. Adding approximately 6 inches of fur to the bottom of the body should suffice for most people and will add $15 to the cost of Yeti, Sr.

Yeti, Sr
Yeti, Sr is Yeti, Jr's father...quite obviously.
Dion
He's a plant. Dion is actually short for Dionaea Muscipula Maximus, which is basically "Giant Venus Flytrap." I don't really know where Dion came from. All I know is that there's this little dog that lives down the street from me that is always in my yard going to the bathroom. One day he was near the side of my house where there's a bit of overgrowth and I went to chase him away, and when I got around that corner he was gone. The only thing left was his leash, which was near the ground in front of this odd looking plant. As I walked near the plant, I noticed that it looked really odd.
I dug it out of the ground and put it into this blue bucket that I have, and that is where Dion is to this day.

Dion is a GREAT puppet. He's got loads of personality, is completely different than anything else that I've done, and is something that you aren't going to see very often. I think he'd be great for some stand up comedy or some walk around comedy. The cool thing about a plant that's a puppet, you don't have to even give it a voice at all. It's voice could basically be controlled only by it's actions, which means you wouldn't need any kind of ventriloquist skills or anything like that.
Dion is currently priced at $85. The bucket is a standard plastic pail which has a rope handle on it. You can't really see the rope handle in the video, but it's there. The leaves are good quality fake plant leaves that come from a local craft store. They look great and fit really well with the story for the plant. I chose these particular leaves because they reminded me a bit of the plants that were in the movie "The Ruins." The purple spots on Dion's head are felt, and the purple balls are little fuzzy pom-poms.

Dion can be customized to some extent. For instance, if you would like to add teeth or more leaves, I can do that. Teeth will cost $5, and can be done rounded off, square, or sharp like fangs. Extra leaves will cost $5. If you get both teeth AND extra leaves, you can have both for $7.50. I can also add some flowers, if you would like, to the plant. Contact me for information about adding flowers.
Here's a quick video to show what Dion looks like with teeth and the extra leaves around his neck.

The possibilities with Dion are endless. I really like the idea of attaching the fake hand and walking around with him doing some comedy. I can just imagine how people would react to you tossing a jelly bean in the air and Dion catching it. Good stuff.

Javelin
Javelin is Dart's older, and bigger, cousin. In fact, Javelin is about 60% larger than Dart. Javelin enjoys traveling and is a big fan of exploring caves. His dream is to go to Hawai'i and explore the volcanoes and cave systems that he fell in love with while enjoying his other favorite hobby...watching the TV show "LOST." In fact, Javelin watches "LOST" so much that he can recite entire scenes from almost every episode. He's a bit odd like that. He cried and cried when the show went off the air, and actually began watching it again on DVD every week, as if it were still on TV. Javelin hasn't seen his cousin Dart in years. He's trying to arrange it so that he and Dart can meet in Hawai'i and explore the caves together. Don't tell Dart, but Javelin has already bought the tickets to get there, he just needs to find a place for them to stay.
-------
Javelin is the first of my Ultimate Characters. He is an excellent puppet that fits a void in my lineup--he's the first true ventriloquist puppet that I offer. He is priced at $120. The easiest way for you to get to know what's special about Javelin is to watch the video. I go into detail in the video about what makes Javelin such a great puppet...but I'll summarize it here for you in case you can't watch the video. Javelin has arms that are attached with joints for greater movement and durability. His head is mounted to a sleeve that goes down inside his body so that when his head moves side to side his body doesn't turn. he has a slit in the back of his neck so that your hand can enter at the back of his head OR at the bottom of his body. This allows him to be used as a ventriloquist puppet or a standard puppet. His legs are included in the price and they are detachable. They can come off and go back on with just a quick click of a metal clasp. The inside of Javelin's body is covered in fleece so that you don't have foam rubbing on your arm. The slit on the back of his head has snaps that keep it closed when using him as a standard puppet.
As you can see, Javelin has MANY features that the other puppets don't...and that's why he's an Ultimate Character. His size and the dual hand entry make him a perfect choice for ventriloquist work. He can easily be operated while sitting on your lap. He also fits into size 4T toddler clothing, so there are MANY jackets and shirts that fit him.
Javelin is available in any of the colors that Dart is available in. Those colors are all no extra cost. If you want him in a different color, there are also other color options for his eyes, which I will let you know about when you place your order. Javelin is a large project that takes quite a bit of work, so orders for him may take up to two weeks to get shipped, but he's worth the wait.
